FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A new 7-Eleven is now open on Country Club Drive, bringing a larger, modern convenience store and fuel station to the north Fayetteville area ahead of an official grand opening celebration scheduled for August.
FayToday recently stopped by the new store at 705 Country Club Drive to take a look inside. Compared with many of Fayetteville’s older convenience stores, the location has a noticeably larger footprint, wide aisles and a bright, modern layout with plenty of space for customers moving between the food, beverage and convenience sections.

The store officially opened July 23, according to 7-Eleven, with its grand opening scheduled for Friday, August 14.
Inside, customers will find the familiar snacks, cold drinks and convenience items expected from 7-Eleven, but the larger layout also gives more space to fresh and prepared food. During our visit, selections included hot pizza, breakfast biscuits, coffee, grab-and-go foods and a dedicated donut area.
There is no separate restaurant operating inside the store, but customers looking for a quick breakfast, lunch or late-day snack have several hot-food options available without needing to wait for a traditional restaurant order.
The Country Club Drive location also offers services including mobile checkout, Mobile Fuel Pay, 7-Eleven Wallet and Fuel Price Lock. The company’s official store listing confirms the location also carries diesel fuel in addition to regular gasoline grades.
A New Fuel Option for North Fayetteville
Outside, the fuel area continues the newer design, with touchscreen displays at the pumps and mobile-payment capabilities tied into the 7-Eleven app.

Fuel prices were also one of the things that caught our attention during the visit. The new location appeared competitive with other nearby 7-Eleven stores, particularly after some unusually high prices appeared in the company’s app before the Country Club Drive store officially opened.
Gas prices can change quickly and vary from one station to another, so customers should still compare current prices before filling up. However, 7-Eleven’s rewards program can provide additional savings beyond the posted pump price.
The company currently offers fuel discounts through its free 7REWARDS program, including introductory savings for new fuel-rewards members and ongoing discounts after the initial promotion. 7-Eleven says additional promotions and eligible community discounts can be combined for savings of up to $1 per gallon under qualifying offers. The app also includes Fuel Price Lock, which allows participating customers to lock in an eligible local fuel price for four days.
That may be particularly useful in Fayetteville, where drivers have multiple 7-Eleven locations within a relatively short distance. The company lists stores on Ramsey Street and Bragg Boulevard among the closest alternatives to the new Country Club Drive location.
For military members, first responders, teachers, medical workers and other eligible groups, 7-Eleven also offers additional fuel discounts after identity verification through ID.me. Those savings can stack with certain other fuel offers, depending on eligibility and current promotions.

Grand Opening Set for August 14
Although customers can already shop and buy fuel at the Country Club Drive store, the official grand opening celebration is scheduled for Friday, August 14.
7-Eleven lists the Fayetteville location among several stores nationwide holding grand openings that day, following its July 23 opening. The celebration is expected to include special promotions, giveaways and other activities associated with the official opening.
The new location adds another convenience and fuel option along Country Club Drive while also serving nearby neighborhoods, Ramsey Street traffic and commuters traveling through north Fayetteville.
For customers who have not stopped by yet, the store is located at 705 Country Club Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28301.
The official grand opening is Friday, August 14, 2026.
