Wild West Festival And Rodeo Returns To Eastern North Carolina

NAKINA, N.C. — A western-themed weekend packed with rodeo action, live music, food and family attractions is set to return to eastern North Carolina as the Boondocks Wild West Festival & Rodeo prepares for three days of events May 29 through May 31.

The festival will take place at Boondocks Adventure Farm, located at 3183 Pine Level Church Rd in Nakina, a rural Columbus County community near the North Carolina and South Carolina border.

Organizers say the annual event combines rodeo competition, country entertainment and outdoor attractions into a large-scale family experience designed to capture the atmosphere of a traditional western festival.

Friday, May 29
Whiskey Ridge Outlaws performing live
Gates open at 5 p.m.
Rodeo begins at 8 p.m.

Saturday, May 30
Devin Dove Band performing live
Gates open at 5 p.m.
Rodeo begins at 8 p.m.

Sunday, May 31
Jamie Lynn and Carolina Sunset performing live
Gates open at 1 p.m.
Rodeo begins at 3 p.m.

GENERAL ADMISSION INCLUDES

Children ages 2 and under will receive free admission. Parking is listed at $5 per vehicle.
