FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Methodist University is preparing to host two youth basketball camp sessions this summer, offering young athletes an opportunity to develop skills, compete and train alongside the university’s coaching staff and players.
The 2026 Methodist University Basketball Camps are open to boys ages 6 through 16, with organizers welcoming athletes of all skill levels.
Camp sessions are scheduled for June 8 through June 11, 2026, and July 6 through July 9, 2026. Daily activities will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Methodist University campus located at 5400 Ramsey St. in Fayetteville.
According to camp information, instruction will focus on core basketball fundamentals and game development, including:
TRAINING AREAS
Shooting
Skill development and shot mechanics
Footwork
Movement drills and positioning techniques
Rebounding
Offensive and defensive board work
Ball Handling
Control, dribbling and offensive movement
Defense
Defensive positioning and game awareness
5-On-5 Competition
Team play and live game situations
Camp organizers say participants will also receive lunch each day, camp T-shirts, awards and access to four days of instruction led by Methodist University coaches and players.
The cost is listed at $275 per session.
