Fayetteville Barbers To Offer Free Graduation Haircuts For Seniors

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Graduating seniors across Fayetteville will have an opportunity to receive free haircuts ahead of graduation ceremonies as local barbers come together for a community event focused on celebrating the Class of 2026.

The Barber Coalition is scheduled to host its “Free Graduation Cuts” event on May 28, 2026, providing complimentary haircuts for graduating high school seniors preparing for ceremonies, photos and graduation celebrations.

The event will take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Beyond Blue NC Neighborhood Center, located at 1800 Owen Dr. in Fayetteville.

Organizers say students should bring a graduation cap, school ID or North Carolina identification card as proof of graduation eligibility.

Featured barbers from shops across Fayetteville are expected to participate in the event, offering free cuts as part of a broader effort to encourage and support local youth entering the next stage of life.

Community members involved with the event say graduation season can place financial pressure on families due to costs tied to clothing, photography, parties and related events. Organizers say the initiative is designed to help students feel recognized and confident during an important milestone.

The event will operate on a first come, first served basis.

Supporters say programs like this continue reflecting Fayetteville’s community-driven efforts to uplift local students through mentorship, encouragement and positive outreach initiatives.
