Pondamania 2024: A Family Play Date at Cape Fear Botanical Garden
Fayetteville, NC — Cape Fear Botanical Garden will host Pondamania 2024, a Children’s Art Explosion, on June 8, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 536 N Eastern Blvd, Fayetteville, NC 28301. The event, now in its sixth year, promises a day filled with art activities, dancing, garden exploration, animals, food, and fun.
This year’s theme, “What Can You Do With a Rock?” will inspire a variety of creative activities and displays.
The day’s events and activities include:
- Climbing wall from The Climbing Place
- Gem Mining (with a real sluice)
- Geodes – Crack Your Own!
- Exhibit by NC Fossil Museum
- Miniature farm animals petting area from Pint Sized Pastures
- Art Projects like rock painting, cairn building, and DIY geodes
- Reptile Exhibit from Herpcentric
- NC Museum of Natural Sciences
- Yard Games, Bubbles, Storytime, and more
- Food trucks, snacks, and beverages (including adult options)
Admission details:
- Kids 10 & under: Free
- Ages 11 and older: $15 (non-member)
- Ages 11 and older: $10 (Garden members)
Admission includes all crafts, demonstrations, and workshops. Food, drinks, and shopping with vendors are at an additional cost. Note that no guest passes will be accepted for this event. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
