Veteran’s Park is Set for Dedication Ceremony on July 4th
North Carolina Veteran’s Park is scheduled for dedication ceremony on July 4th in Fayetteville, NC. It is the first state’s park to honor veterans specifically. The park is set to describe the military experiences of veteran’s lives. It includes every branch of service from old to present. Exhibits will account the life before, during, and after their military service. Many of these exhibits will be strategically placed on-site to display a creative collection of veteran life.
Exhibits display a tribute to our veterans who gave their life to secure our freedom. The park hosts sections which showcases ‘walls’ of soldier attributes and info. The Service Ribbon wall includes every service metals awarded since the Civil War. Another amazing site at Veteran’s Park is the North Carolina Soils Wall. This landmark includes soil from all 100 counties of North Carolina. Outside this location is a community lawn that hosts the story garden. It includes audio accounts of military service on an interactive structure. Even General Hugh Shelton shares his audio within the collection.
To celebrate the park’s opening, visit on July 4th for the dedication ceremony. It is located near the Airborne & Special Operations Museum on Hay Street, in downtown Fayetteville.
