Fort Liberty, NC – The Fort Liberty Independence Day Celebration will take place on June 29, 2024, at the Main Post Parade Field, 25 Capron St. Gates open at 3 PM . This free event is open to the public, with civilians required to obtain a base access pass.

Musical performers include headliner Flo Rida, Maddie and Tae, and Plain White T’s. The event will feature Kiddieland, Tent City, a Flag Ceremony, the 82nd Rock Band, and a fireworks display.

Known for his diverse talent in acting, comedy, and music, Crockett brings a fresh, dynamic blend of humor to his lat est venture.

The Fayetteville native, who honed his comedic skills wit h impersonations and dance from a young age, will explore themes ranging from his early days as a dancer to the trials of aging and the nuances of relationships and politics. “Sister Act” at Cape Fear Regional Theatre: A Divine Musical Comedy

Fayetteville, NC – Cape Fear Regional Theatre will host the feel-good musical “Sister Act,” on stage from May 2 through 26, 2024. The production tells the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a nightclub singer forced into protective custody after witnessing a murder. Deloris finds refuge in a convent and reluctantly assumes the guise of a nun. Despite her struggles to blend in, her talent and passion for music turn a faltering choir into a sensation that revitalizes the convent and community.

Two special nights have been organized for this production:

  • Military Appreciation Night: May 8, sponsored by U-Move U-Haul
  • Teacher Appreciation Night: May 10, sponsored by Cape Fear Eye Associates
