FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Dennis Smith Jr. is returning to Fayetteville this summer with the 5th Annual Dennis Smith Jr. “Smithway” Youth Basketball Camp and the Smithway Invitational, both scheduled at Pine Forest High School during the July 4 weekend.
The youth basketball camp, open to ages 8 through 12, has officially sold out, reflecting strong community interest in the annual event.
The Smithway Invitational is scheduled for Friday, July 3, and Saturday, July 4. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with tip-off set for 6 p.m. Admission is $5.
The event will be held at Pine Forest High School, 525 Andrews Road in Fayetteville.
According to the event flyer, the Smithway Invitational will feature a $10,000 grand prize for the tournament winner.
The annual basketball events continue to bring local fans, youth athletes and families together around the sport while highlighting Fayetteville’s strong basketball culture during the holiday weekend.
The events are presented by Dennis Smith Jr. and the Two-Six Project, with youth camp support also listed from OCS in Fayetteville.
