Second Annual “Sober Cinco” De Mayo Mental Health Festival on May 5, 2024

FAYETTEVILLE, NC – The community of Cumberland County is gearing up for the second annual “Sober Cinco” De Mayo Festival, set to take place on May 5th at Blissful Alchemists, located at 414 Ray Ave, Fayetteville, NC. This vibrant event, which runs from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, is a fundraiser presented by HEAL Holistic Journey Inc., with the Kind Seeds Project proudly serving as a sponsor.

This year’s festival is dedicated to raising awareness about addiction and trauma recovery, bringing a fresh and fun approach to the concept of recovery by integrating it into a celebratory atmosphere. The event underscores the importance of community support and holistic wellness, offering an alcohol-free environment to enjoy the festivities of Cinco De Mayo.

Event Highlights:

• Mocktail Stations: Attendees can explore a variety of colorful mocktails, each designed to represent the colors of the rainbow. The “Rainbow Challenge Drinking Game” invites participants to sample from each mocktail station to complete their rainbow card, with a chance to spin the wheel of prizes at the end.

• Vendors and Resources: A selection of vendors will provide resources and products to support holistic wellness journeys. Offerings range from wellness products to self-care essentials, ensuring there’s something beneficial for everyone.

• Free Food and Music: Free, delicious food will be available, along with music from a live DJ to keep the festive spirit high. Guests are invited to dance and celebrate in a dynamic and uplifting setting.

• Holistic Modalities: Experience various holistic practices, including massage therapy and energy healing, provided by HEAL Holistic Journey Inc. and other practitioners to promote healing and well-being.

• Fun Activities: Engage in creative activities like the braid and flower crown bar, where attendees can create their own festival accessories. Proceeds from these activities support the ongoing efforts of HEAL Holistic Journey Inc.
