FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – In an atmosphere of unity and celebration, thousands converged on Festival Park yesterday for the 10th anniversary AsONE Prayer Walk, an annual ecumenical gathering hosted by AsONE Fellowship, Inc. The event was capped off by a stirring performance by gospel artist Todd Galberth.

In a demonstration of unity and shared faith, participants of diverse ages, ethnicities, religious denominations, and backgrounds gathered together on Saturday, May 20, 2023. They convened with a shared purpose—to unite in prayer as a single body and proclaim the greatness of their God.Gates opened bright and early at 8 a.m., with the Prayer Walk beginning at 10 a.m.

Attendees walked through downtown Fayetteville, making stops at designated prayer stations, including the Police Department, City Hall, the Cumberland County Courthouse, and the North Carolina Veterans Park. Each stop served as a symbolic location where prayers for the community, peace, and unity were lifted.

After the walk, the gates reopened at 4 p.m. for the evening’s concert, which began at 5 p.m. This year, attendees were treated to an inspiring performance by renowned gospel artist Todd Galberth. His performance was a high note of the event, delivering uplifting music that resonated with the day’s themes of unity and community.

The AsONE Prayer Walk is part of the broader AsONE10 UnityWeek, which included several exciting events this year. Among them were the Pulpit Swap, Pay It Forward/Community Unity Days, the Pastors’ Ball, and UnityFest. UnityFest is a premier music festival, also organized by AsONE Fellowship, Inc., which took place on Sunday, April 23, 2023.Featuring some of the best gospel and Christian music artists in the nation, including the likes of Maverick City Music’s Chandler Moore and Todd Galberth, UnityFest served as a prelude to the Prayer Walk. It celebrated a decade of community unity through prayer, reinforcing the commitment of AsONE Fellowship, Inc. to bring people of different backgrounds and beliefs together.

Looking back at yesterday’s event and the successful culmination of AsONE10 UnityWeek, there is no doubt that the AsONE Prayer Walk has grown into a significant event in Fayetteville. It continues to demonstrate the power of unity and the significance of shared prayer, as it did so successfully on its 10th anniversary.
