The Fayetteville 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb was held at Segra Stadium, home of the Fayetteville NC Woodpeckers minor league baseball team. The event honored and remembered all who gave their lives so that others may live on September 11, 2001. This 20th anniversary event included nearly 500 participants who ran a mock stair climb representing over 100 stairs climbed by NY first responders who rushed the World Trade Centers after the terrorist attack on 9/11. Proceeds of the stair climb will help continued efforts to honor and remember the 343 firefighters who lost their lives.
