John Griffin Middle School Girls Soccer Team Achieves Undefeated 2023 Season

Fayetteville, NC – The girls’ soccer team at John Griffin Middle School is basking in the glory of an extraordinary season, defined by exceptional performances and notable accomplishments. Led by Head Coach Michele Harling, the team’s unwavering dedication, hard work, and formidable defensive skills have propelled them to remarkable success on the field.

Coach Harling, who had the privilege of coaching the JGMS soccer teams, expressed immense pride in the girls’ achievements. “I am incredibly proud of the girls’ exceptional season. They have shown remarkable growth, teamwork, and tenacity,” shared Harling.

At the heart of the team was fullback captain Jessica Karis, whose defensive play as a sweeper allowed the team to maintain a strong line of defense. Her exceptional skills and leadership were instrumental in the team’s success.

Another standout player was Addy Pachniak, a budding goalie who demonstrated remarkable growth throughout the years. Despite her initial lack of experience, Addy’s dedication and continuous learning transformed her into a formidable presence in the goal, making crucial saves that contributed to the team’s victories.

The team also celebrated the outstanding performance of Sophia Hernandez, who achieved a remarkable hat trick during the 9-0 game. Her exceptional scoring ability added another layer of success to the team’s already impressive season.
