How do I schedule an appointment to have a mammogram?
Please call 1-855-655-BMMC (2662) for more information on the tour dates and to schedule an appointment.

? Must be at least one year since previous mammogram
? Must not be pregnant or breast-feeding
? Must not have new breast lumps, breast skin or nipple changes, or nipple discharge (patients with
these symptoms should promptly contact their physician for evaluation and possible referral for a
diagnostic mammogram)
What is a screening mammogram?
A low-dose x-ray exam of the breasts. It typically includes 2 images or pictures of each breast and is
performed by a licensed Charlotte Radiology technologist, certified in mammography. A board-certified
radiologist specialized in breast imaging will interpret the results of your exam.
What if I have a breast lump or other breast symptom?
The Center offers screening mammograms – a “wellness” check for your breasts. A diagnostic mammogram
is used to evaluate an existing problem, and is a more comprehensive exam that may include specialized
views and/or ultrasound. Please contact your primary care physician for evaluation so he/she can refer you
for the appropriate exam.
