Jim Harney of Fayetteville and Others enter NC Governor’s Race
Jim Harney of Fayetteville, NC has entered the NC Governor’s race. The only sole contestant was Republican Party, Pat McCrory, who lost to current Governor Beverly Perdue last election. Jim Harney has never ran for public office, but shows confidence in attracting voters with a “small guy” appeal and pushing for eliminating property tax across the state. Harney has owned and operated, Harney Designs, a local promotional advertising company in recent years. After his filing, more candidates have followed suit. Charles Kenneth Moss has filed from Randolph County as well as Paul Wright from Wayne County.
