Grammy Nominated J.Cole Speaks to Terry Sanford High School During “Dreamville Weekend”
J.Cole, better known as the rapper signed to Hip Hop mogul’s Jay-Z’s Roc Nation record label, has arrived to Fayetteville, NC. March 1st has been deemed “DreamVille Weekend”, a holiday that begins Thursday, March 1st through March 3. Events include special appearances, most notably the speech given to his former high school, Terry Sanford. J.Cole is also marked to perform a concert in Charlotte, NC on March 3rd which portion of the proceeds will be given to the Cumberland County Foundation.
In many interviews, the best new artist grammy nominee discusses his attachment to Fayetteville, NC. He mentions his return visit after starting his success. J.Cole connected with Fayetteville-Cumberland County Parks & Recreation centers to learn some of his ideas were already implemented. He appreciated that growth and hopes to contribute more to the area. He describes his dreams of helping out disadvantaged youth while growing up and sitting in his dorm room at St. John’s university. With graduated top honors at the univeristy, J.Cole looks to push forward in his music career and giving back to his community. “Dreamville Weekend” is just a start of an inspirational and motivational moment with J.Cole and Fayetteville residents.
