Raising Cane’s Confirms Plans for First Fayetteville Location

FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Raising Cane’s has officially confirmed early plans to open its first Fayetteville location, bringing one of the nation’s fastest-growing chicken chains to the city.

The proposed restaurant will take over the building that formerly housed Ruby Tuesday and AJ Isai at 1812 Skibo Road. The site sits near Golden Corral and Ross and directly across from Cross Creek Mall, positioning the brand in one of Fayetteville’s busiest retail corridors.

Company representatives have stated that construction will begin once city approvals and required permits are finalized. While an official construction start date has not been announced, planning is actively moving forward. A confirmed grand opening timeline has not yet been released, though many are hopeful for a Fall 2026 opening.

Raising Cane’s is known nationwide for its streamlined menu centered around chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, coleslaw, and its signature Cane’s Sauce. The company operates nearly 900 locations across the country and has continued expanding throughout North Carolina.

As of early 2026, locations are operating or launching in Chapel Hill, Greenville, and Camp Lejeune, with a Raleigh location near NC State University opening in late January 2026. The Fayetteville addition would mark another significant investment along the Skibo Road corridor, which has seen steady commercial growth in recent years.

Residents have anticipated the arrival of Raising Cane’s for some time, and this confirmation signals continued momentum in Fayetteville’s restaurant scene.
