Free Christmas Trees Offered to Active Duty Service Members Through Trees for Troops

Fayetteville, NC — Active

duty service members stationed at Fort Bragg will once again have the opportunity to receive a free Christmas tree this holiday season through the annual Trees for Troops program. The initiative, designed to support military families during the holidays, provides complimentary trees to eligible service members rank ed E-6 and below.

Voucher Distribution Begins December 1
Vouchers for free Christmas trees will be available beginning December 1, 2025, at 9 a.m. and may be picked up at Leisure Travel Services. Either the active duty service member or their spouse may collect a voucher. Supplies are limited, and distribution will take place on a first-come, first-served basis. Each family is limited to one voucher.

Tree Pickup on December 5
Christmas trees will be available for pickup on December 5, 2025, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Smith Lake Recreation Area. Each voucher is redeemable for one tree, offering military families a meaningful way to celebrate the season at no cost.
