Rain or Shine, Resources Are Here Today

FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Even with the rain falling, local community partners are showing up in full force to support residents in need at today’s Free Resource Community Event, happening at 111 Lamon Street, Suite 100 in Fayetteville. The event runs until 2 PM and offers a wide range of free services and activities for individuals and families across Cumberland County.

Organized by Elite Care Service and KWIT, and sponsored by WatchOut Cumberland County NC, the event brings together local organizations and volunteers committed to helping the community thrive. Visitors can enjoy free hot meals, receive on-site health and wellness checks, and access valuable information on employment opportunities, benefits assistance, and recovery resources.

For families, the event includes a kid-friendly zone filled with crafts, games, and giveaways, creating a welcoming atmosphere for children while parents connect with service providers. Attendees can also explore gardening demonstrations and family-focused educational resources designed to encourage healthy living and sustainability.

Event organizers emphasized that weather won’t stop their efforts to serve the community. “Rain or shine, we’re here to help,” said representatives from Elite Care Service. “This event is about making sure everyone has access to the resources and support they need, no matter the circumstances.”

The Free Resource Community Event continues through 2 PM today. For more information, contact Elite Care Service at 910-483-0324 or visit www.elitecaresvc.com.
