Grand Opening: Dad Bod District Brings a Bold New Vibe to Downtown Fayetteville
FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Downtown Fayetteville is heating up with the grand opening of one of its most anticipated destinations — Dad Bod District and Faye’s Rooftop Bar, both housed inside the historic Kress building at 229 Hay Street. The official launch takes place this Saturday, September 20, promising an evening of great food, live music, and a brand-new energy in the heart of the city.

The celebration kicks off at 5 PM and continues into the night, featuring a live rooftop set from DJ Fuzzy, who will be spinning the soundtrack to Fayetteville’s newest downtown experience. Downstairs, guests can enjoy a lively sports bar atmosphere complete with hearty barbecue plates, bold cocktails, and the casual, welcoming vibe that made Dad Bod District a local favorite long before its expansion from food truck to full-scale restaurant.
The new space offers a multi-level experience that blends dining, nightlife, and entertainment. The first floor serves up family-friendly dining and football-ready energy, while the second floor—set to open in October—will feature dueling pianos, comedy shows, and special events. Upstairs, Faye’s Rooftop Bar provides an upscale twist with elevated small plates, martinis, bourbon, and sunset views overlooking downtown Fayetteville.
The menu showcases a mix of Southern comfort and international flair, including smoked chicken, creamy mac and cheese, Alfredo pasta, and Polynesian-style barbecue, creating a dining experience that caters to every taste.
With its creative concept, multiple atmospheres, and commitment to local flavor, Dad Bod District is set to become a cornerstone of Fayetteville’s evolving downtown scene. Guests are invited to join the festivities and be part of a new chapter in the city’s nightlife and dining culture.
