FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Families across the region are invited to attend the second annual Follow the Spectrum Superhero Autism Awareness Festival on Saturday, April 26, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, taking place at the Crown Complex outdoor grass lot near Owen Drive in Fayetteville, NC.
This free, community-centered event is open to all but especially welcomes children on the autism spectrum and their families. Designed to be both fun and supportive, the festival features an exciting superhero theme and offers a safe, welcoming space for families to enjoy the day together.
Young attendees will have the opportunity to participate in two live art contests—coloring and freestyle drawing—using crayons, markers, or colored pencils. Prizes will be awarded twice during the day, once at the midpoint of the event and again just before closing.
The festival will also feature a variety of lawn games, activity stations, cornhole, photo opportunities, and a raffle filled with community-donated prizes. Families can enjoy treats and lunch from food trucks on-site, while connecting with valuable resources provided by autism-related service organizations, including local ABA therapy providers.
This year’s event is made possible with generous support from the Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County. Major sponsors include BrightBridge, Arise Behavioral Therapy Solutions, and Breaking Barriers. Bravery Kid’s Gym is serving as the official sponsor of the play activities area, helping create an engaging experience for children of all ages and abilities.

Media support and coverage are provided by WatchOut Cumberland County NC and FayToday News, two of the region’s largest and most engaged digital news platforms.
Vendor spaces are still available for those who wish to participate. Booths are priced at $100, or $150 for a special buy-one-get-one-half-off deal for businesses or nonprofits seeking to engage with families during the event. Vendors may check in as late as 10:00 AM the morning of the festival.
The event is organized by Follow the Spectrum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Fayetteville that provides community programming and creative outreach for autism families.
