Hundreds of families poured into DICK’S House of Sport – Fayetteville on Friday morning for the highly anticipated Egg-stra Awesome Annual Egg Hunt, a festive celebration that transformed the store into an egg-filled adventure zone.
More than 100 excited children and parents lined up before doo rs opened at 10 AM, ready to hop into action. With community vendors stationed across the store offering info booths and prize tables, the event buzzed with family-friendly energy and co lorful surprises.
Kids under 13 were invited to search for eggs hidden throughout the entire store—even atop the indoor rock climbing wall, where lucky climbers snagged a golden egg throughout the day.
The hunt included special golden eggs which, once found, could be traded at vendor tables for larger prize-filled “golden eggs.” One standout prize—a $100 gift card—was awarded to the child who found the elusive Golden Duck.

A special appearance by the Easter Bunny delighted children during the midday hours, posing for photos and even strolling around the store spreading springtime cheer.
The first 100 children received custom Easter baskets, and every child went home with a chocolate bunny, thanks to the event’s generous guidel ine s.
Vendors helped anchor the event with vibrant displays, giveaways, and community engagement, turning this egg hunt into more than just a seasonal activity—it was a memorable community celebration, once again by Dick’s House of Sport at Freedom Town Center. Join DICK’S House of Sport next weekend for a Youth Football Camp at Jack Britt High School with info on their website.
