K&W Cafeteria Fayetteville to Close March 25 After More Than 50 Years of Service

Fayetteville, NC – A beloved Fayetteville dining institution is preparing to close its doors. K&W Cafeteria, known for its comfor ting Southern meals and warm, community-focused atmosp here, has announced that it will permanently close its Fayetteville location on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, after more tha n five decades of service.

For many in the community, K&W was more than just a cafeteria—it was a gathering place for families, military members, and seniors who valued both the food and the fellowship. From Sunday lunches to everyday meals, K&W has long been cherished for its affordable prices, generous portions, and a menu full of homestyle favorites.

A Look Back at K&W’s Fayetteville Journey:

  • 1973 – The first K&W Cafeteria opens in Fayetteville
  • 1986 – Relocated to 3187 Village Drive, becoming a landmark dining destination
  • 2018 – Moved to its current and final location at 1758 Owen Drive, in the Bordeaux Shopping Center

Throughout its years, K&W earned a loyal following for classic Southern staples such as fried chicken, carved roast beef, collard greens, macaroni and cheese, and its signature pies and desserts. The cafeteria-style service and friendly staff created a sense of familiarity that kept generations of customers coming back.

While the Fayetteville location will close, other K&W Cafeteria locations across North Carolina will remain open, continuing the brand’s legacy of quality food and service.
