“2 6 Raised” Set to Bring Fayetteville NC to Life in New YouTube Series

2-6 Raised
A gritty, local-inspired drama blending live action and animation.

A Homegrown Drama with a Twist
The upcoming YouTube series 2 6 Raised, set in Fayetteville, North Carolina, isn’t just another crime drama—it’s a locally rooted story about ambition, survival, and the paths we choose. According to the show’s creator, the series “represents the type of people who do crime in the city either to get out and live a better life or continue down the same path, hoping to achieve their goals without getting caught.”
What makes this project unique is its creative format. The series will begin as a live-action TV show before transitioning into animation. “I’ve always loved when my favorite cartoon films had live-action versions, so I thought I’d reverse the concept,” the creator explains. “We’ll show the live-action first and bring the animation to life once that’s done.”
Fayetteville’s Streets on Screen
The local setting is more than a backdrop—it’s a character in its own right. The creator shares that familiar streets and buildings will feature prominently in each episode. “This series will resonate with those who grew up in The Ville,” she says. “It will mirror parts of the live-action show, creating a sense of connection for the audience.”
Central to the plot is Zavon, played by Thomas Brown. “He’s the type of character people will love to hate—and maybe not for the reasons they expect,” she teases. The show also introduces Diamond, portrayed by Taylor Warren, whose mysterious secrets promise to cause major upheaval. “Diamond holds many secrets, and when they blow up in her face, viewers will see the fallout,” she hints. “I think a lot of people know someone like her.”

Inspiration Rooted in Real Life
Although the characters are fictional, many aspects of the show are drawn from real experiences. “Two of the characters are based on real-life personalities, and the show is loosely based on a few stories I’ve lived through,” the creator says. The authenticity of these influences lends depth to the series, making it relatable to locals and anyone familiar with the challenges of small-city life.
But it hasn’t been without obstacles. “Promoting the show has been a learning process,” she admits. “Casting was especially tough, but I leaned on my experience working on previous projects, including the films Help! and Help2!, which were released on YouTube in 2019.”
What to Expect From the Series
The first trailer for 2 6 Raised is expected in April or May, with the pilot episode following a few weeks later. New episodes will be released weekly on Fridays, keeping fans engaged with regular content. After the live-action series concludes, the animation will take over, continuing the characters’ journeys.
“The animated version won’t be a standalone story,” the creator explains. “To understand the characters and their arcs, viewers will need to watch the live-action series first. That’s what sets this project apart from other animated content.”
Community Events and Merch on the Way
Beyond its YouTube release, the team plans to connect with fans through events and merchandise. The creator hints at a special premiere event, where fans can watch the pilot early. “We’ll have live music showcasing local artists, TV show posters, and other merch for sale,” she reveals.

A Collaborative Effort
As the series takes shape, the creator is grateful for the team’s collective effort. “I want to thank Yahweh for the opportunities that brought this project to life,” she says. “My co-writer Rashaun Fahie, the cast, the crew, the film crew, and Affishaul Worldwide for promotions—they’ve all played a huge role in making this possible.”
