Spring Lake NC Launches “First Friday” Event on Main Street, Sept 1, 2023

Spring Lake, NC — The Town of Spring Lake is set to rejuvenate its Main Street with the inauguration of its “First Friday” event, aiming to attract visitors and strengthen community connections.

In a joint endeavor with the Greater Sandhills Chamber, the event is designed to reinvigorate the Main Street area, which has recently seen a decline in visitors, largely attributed to nearby bridge construction among other factors.

• Live Performance: Local performer “80s Unplugged” is scheduled to grace the event. Additionally, the event is on the lookout for other local bands and musicians to showcase their talents.
• Vendors: Over 20 vendors have already registered their participation, with an emphasis on featuring Spring Lake businesses and those owned by military spouses.
• Kids Section: A dedicated area for children will be set up, promising a range of kid-friendly activities and attractions.
• Refreshments: Concessions will be available from Hugger Mugger Brewing Company, complemented by an array of food trucks.

Described as a “community block party”, the First Friday event serves as an opportunity for businesses and community members to reconnect and celebrate together.
