Riggsbee Road Set to Perform at Cape Fear Botanical Garden’s Sunset Series on July 21, 2023
FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Garden Sunset Series is set to be the most buzzworthy event of the summer in Fayetteville as Cape Fear Botanical Garden hosts the vibrant all-female newgrass band, Riggsbee Road, on July 21st. The concert event invites residents to gather their loved ones for an evening filled with music, moonshine, and delectable food, creating sweet memories that will linger long after the sun has set.
The audience will be treated to a performance from Riggsbee Road, a popular band with fans spread across the Southeast. The Raleigh-based group, recognized for their unique blend of pop, country, and classic tunes, promises a performance with powerful vocal harmonies and the distinctive sound of the banjo.
Apart from the enticing music, the event will also serve as a sensory feast with a moonshine tasting session led by mixologist Rob Clayton. He will introduce attendees to a variety of cocktails, including the signature Beekeeper drink.
For those looking to satisfy their hunger, Bees & Boards Restaurant + Provision Co. will offer snack boxes and other dining delights, while food trucks like Tanks and Franks will serve gourmet hot dogs and more.
The event also features the Cumberland County Beekeepers Association providing informative tours to the Garden Bee Houses and selling honey. Bobcat of Fayetteville will be showcasing their equipment, offering photo opportunities for attendees.
Also open during the event is the special exhibit “Horticulture, Hooch & Outlaws in Fast Cars,” a self-guided tour that digs into the botanical roots of NASCAR.
Event organizers ensure the concert will take place rain or shine. No advance tickets are required, as attendees can pay their general admission on the day of the event, while members enjoy free entrance.
The Garden will be open from 9 am to 9 pm, encouraging guests to arrive early to explore the grounds or the Garden Gift Shop. Concert seating will be provided, but attendees are advised to bring their own chairs for added comfort.
Tickets for the event can be purchased on-site, with rates as follows: Members enter for free, ages 13+ are $10 (+ tax), military personnel and adults aged 65 and older are $9 (+ tax), children aged 6-12 are $5 (+ tax), and children under five are admitted free of charge.
The event is presented by Bobcat of Fayetteville and sponsored by First Citizens Bank, Gill Security, Warren Insurance Group, Arts Council of Fayetteville/Cumberland County, and Friends of Cape Fear Botanical Garden.
