FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Cumberland County Schools, in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, is hosting the Children’s Mental Health & Wellness Fair at Festival Park on May 6, 2023. The event, which will run from 8 am to 11 am, aims to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention among children and young adults.

The fair will feature a variety of activities for families and community members to enjoy, including games, live fitness presentations, car seat safety checks, bike rodeos, helmet giveaways, and a fire truck. In addition, community organizations will be present to provide information and resources related to mental health and wellness.

Attendees can also participate in the Out of Darkness Walk booth, which allows them to show their support for suicide prevention and participate in the walk. The CCS Student Services Attendance District Team will be there to walk with the attendees and raise awareness for this important cause.
