Sheetz is Coming to Fayetteville, NC

SHEETZ announces it’s coming to Fayetteville, NC at the location of Ramsey Street and Fernwood Dr . This location is near Applebee’s, ALDI, Methodist University, Last Call, and Northview Lanes to name a few.

“I can confirm that Sheetz is planning a new store location in Fayetteville at the intersection of Fernwood Drive and (U.S.) 401,? Nick Ruffner, a public relations manager for the company, said Friday in an email. “At this time, it is just too early to comment on the project any further.”

A couple of employees who work for one of the stores in the central part of North Carolina said they had heard that a Sheetz was opening next year off Ramsey Street, they are still working on the remodel of certain areas, in this blog you can find more info.

“They’ve had people from corporate looking around that area. They’re already starting to look for supervisors for that store,” one of the two Sheetz employees said before verifying the information with a store manager.

Ruffner would not provide any other details on the proposed expansion into this area: “At this time, I just cannot comment further on time frame and any future plans.”

Some readers have expressed interest in Sheetz coming to Fayetteville. While there’s one on Fayetteville Road in Raleigh, the family-owned convenience store chain has thus far eluded Fayetteville.

In the convenience store sector, the Canadian-owned Circle K Stores Inc. maintains a significant stronghold in the Fayetteville area. Speedway and Short Stop also are among the key players here, while the former Kangaroo Express stores have changed their names and now fall under the Circle K brand.

In late January, Sheetz celebrated the opening of its 100th store in North Carolina. That was in High Point.
