Fayetteville, NC — Downtown Fayetteville came alive the day after Thanksgiving as A Dickens Holiday 2025 once again transformed the historic district into a vibrant Victorian celebration. Families, longtime residents, visitors, and holiday enthusiasts filled the streets for a full day of tradition, creativity, and community spirit. Hosted by the Fayetteville Downtown Alliance, the event delivered an immersive blend of history, performance, local shopping, and festive joy that stretched from noon through the evening firework finale.

















Vendors and Local Makers Spotlighted Throughout Downtown
Hay Street, Maxwell Street, Franklin Street, and the area surrounding the Fayetteville Area Transportation and Local History Museum were lined with vendors offering handcrafted gifts, festive décor, baked goods, jewelry, art, candles, and seasonal favorites. Guests browsed booths filled with unique, locally made items that added meaning to holiday shopping. Food trucks along Green Street served warm comfort dishes, sweet treats, and classic festival foods, keeping crowds energized as they explored every corner of the celebration.
Performers and Victorian Characters Bring the Festival to Life
Street performers filled the district with nonstop entertainment, including singers, dancers, musicians, carolers, and theatrical characters dressed in full Victorian attire. From Person Street to Maxwell Street and Green Street, visitors encountered live performances that created a rich, immersive atmosphere. Candlelight Procession and Tree Lighting Unify the Crowd
As dusk settled, the candlelight procession made its way down Hay Street, led by Cross Creek Pipes & Drums in traditional attire. The celebration concluded with a fireworks display at 9 p.m., presented in partnership with Segra Stadium’s Holiday Lights event.
