Concord, North Carolina – Thousands of race fans and military families gathered at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 25, 2025, for the annual Coca-Cola 600—NASCAR’s longest and most patriotic race. Held each Memorial Day weekend, the event paid tribute to fallen heroes while celebrating the enduring connection between motorsports and the U.S. Armed Forces.

Paratroopers engaged the public in hands-on displays that included the Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV), camouflage demonstrations for kids, and equipment showcases that sparked curiosity and pride across generations.

As engines roared to life and the green flag dropped, the Coca-Cola 600 became more than just a race—it became a reminder of the sacrifices made by so many. For families with loved ones currently serving or retired from duty, especially in areas like Fort Bragg, the event felt both celebratory and deeply personal.
The Coca-Cola 600 remains one of the few sporting events that seamlessly weaves together American tradition, athletic competition, and military appreciation. This year’s race once again proved why it holds a special place in the hearts of military families across North Carolina.
