Gas Station Boom: Sheetz, Wawa, 7 Eleven Expand in Fayetteville, NC

Fayetteville, NC – The local gasoline and convenience store landscape is experiencing a significant overhaul, with multiple new establishments and renovations announced in recent weeks.

Sheetz, a well-known gas station and convenience store chain, has its eyes set on expanding its footprint in Fayetteville. A brand-new Sheetz station is in the works at the 3100 block of Raeford Rd, nestled conveniently near Fairfield Rd. This location promises to offer residents easy access to their services, given its proximity to the Tallywood shopping center and popular retailers such as Publix, Chipotle, and Biscuitville. This development supplements the existing Sheetz locations on Ramsey street near Methodist University and at the Raeford Rd and Bunce Rd intersection. Moreover, there’s word of another Sheetz planning its establishment near the crossroads of Raeford Rd and Gillis Hill Rd.

While Sheetz is rapidly expanding, Murphy USA isn’t far behind in ensuring their presence is felt in the area. The gas station located at Raeford Rd near Gillis Hill Rd is currently under renovation and is expected to be rebuilt and modernized for an enhanced customer experience.

Adding to the mix of fuel stops is Wawa, which has recently announced its plan to launch a new gas station near Raeford Rd and the All American Freeway. Wawa is renowned for its combination of fuel services, convenience stores, and fresh food offerings, making it a beloved stop for many travelers and locals alike.

7-Eleven, another significant player in the convenience store scene, has been making waves in Fayetteville as well. Last week, a new 7-Eleven store opened its doors on Ramsey street, taking over the former Grandsons Buffet location. But that’s not all – another branch is in development at Santa Fe Drive. Sources suggest that 7-Eleven has ambitious plans for the area, with proposals for three or more stores waiting for a green light from the Fayetteville Technical Review Committee.

As these developments unfold, it’s evident that Fayetteville residents will soon have more options, not just for fueling their vehicles, but for a variety of convenience offerings that these establishments bring.
