FAYETTEVILLE, NC — Something flavorful is on the horizon for Fayetteville’s south side as Azul Tequ ilas Mexican Bar & Grill prepares to open at 2309 Gillespie Street, in the former Great Grandsons restaurant location. Positioned near the Waffle House and the Popeyes/Owen Drive intersection, the new eatery is already turning heads with its “Coming Soon” signage and promises of an authentic Mexican dining experience.








A Taste of What’s to Come
While the official menu for the Fayetteville location has not yet been released, offerings from Azul Tequilas’ Goldsboro location hint at what diners can expect. Popular dishes include steak or shrimp burritos, authentic street-style tacos, chicken or cheese tamales, quesadillas, nachos, fresh taco salads, and sizzling fajitas with grilled vegetables. Other possibilities include enchiladas with sauce and cheese, bacon-wrapped stuffed jalapeños, guacamole and salsa bowls, refried beans and rice, and chicken wings with a Latin-inspired twist.

Azul Tequilas is also known for its vibrant drink menu, featuring frozen margaritas, house cocktails, micheladas, and fruit-based drinks like pineapple and mango Jarritos, strawberry daiquiris, and sweet tropical punches — alongside classic sodas and teas.
