Roy Williams, former UNC coach, Visits Fayettteville NC’s Habitat for Humanity Event
Fayetteville, NC – Today, the Felton J. Capel Arena at Fayetteville State University hosted a remarkable event, “Homecourt: A Conversation with Coach Roy Williams,” which brought together sports and community development for a noble cause. Former University of North Carolina basketball coach Roy Williams joined forces with the Fayetteville Area Habitat for Humanity and the Fayetteville State Athletics Department for a lunchtime discussion aimed at addressing the pressing issue of homeownership in the Fayetteville community.
The event, held at 11:30 AM, featured Coach Williams sharing his insights on the intersection of sports and community development, emphasizing the importance of teamwork both on and off the court. Attendees were inspired by his words, as he underscored the significant role that community support and collaboration play in improving the lives of local families through homeownership.
