Annual “Step Up 4 Health and Wellness Expo” Returns at Methodist University
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Methodist University will once again be the venue this Saturday, April 20, for the much-anticipated Step Up 4 Health and Wellness Expo from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The event, set in the university’s Duggins Soccer Stadium, includes a 4K run, a one-mile fun race, and a variety of activities suitable for all ages, and different health centers from medical to rehab like NUMA Los Angeles Detox and others.
Participants can look forward to an interactive Wellness Expo at the stadium, featuring informative booths, food trucks, a children’s play area, live music, giveaways, and sponsor displays. The expo not only offers a day of health-focused fun but also supports vital community services by raising funds for the Cape Fear Valley Health Friends of Cancer Center, Children’s Services, and more.
“The partnership between Methodist University and Cape Fear Valley Health, especially our combined efforts to establish a School of Medicine, enriches this event, making it a landmark day for community health awareness,” said Sabrina Brooks, Vice President of the Cape Fear Valley Foundation.
Registration is open with fees set at $35 for adults and $30 for children, including a free pass for kids aged three and under. Discounts are available for groups, and all participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt.
For further details or to register, please visit the event’s official webpage. Last year, the expo drew over 500 attendees, underscoring its growing importance in promoting health and wellness in Cumberland County.
