Celebrate Airborne History in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, NC — The community is invited to honor 85 years of Airborne legacy at National Airborne Day 2025, taking place Saturday, August 16, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum, 100 Bragg Boulevard. Hosted by the XVIII Airborne Corps, this free, family-friendly event will showcase the proud history and traditions of America’s Airborne forces.

Event Highlights
Visitors can enjoy live performances from the 82nd Airborne Division Band and the All-American Chorus, explore static and hands-on displays, and witness mock door jumps that demonstrate paratrooper training techniques. The celebration will also feature the Liberty Tree Ceremony and a formal proclamation signing to commemorate the occasion.

Schedule of Events
The day will begin at 8:00 AM with the Liberty Tree Ceremony, followed by the opening of static displays at 8:30 AM. Welcome remarks are scheduled for 9:00 AM, leading into performances by the 82nd Airborne Division Band at 9:30 AM and the All-American Chorus at 9:45 AM. At 10:45 AM, attendees can watch a mock door jump demonstration, with the proclamation signing set for 11:30 AM.

National Airborne Day offers a unique opportunity for the public to connect with the history, service, and sacrifice of the Airborne community while enjoying an engaging and educational morning.
