The soldier who saluted over 2 hours on Skibo Road in Fayetteville NC has been identified as PFC Nico Maclin of Fort Bragg, NC. He was seen weathering the rain and onlooking traffic during his long tribute to military on Memorial Day. PFC Maclin was featured in ABC11 “Armed Forces Salute” in 2013 for serving food to Fayetteville Police.

Brandon Agee, a Pine Forest high school senior, was spotted stopping to help the soldier by wiping sweat in PFC Maclin’s steady held salute position.
